Our staff was just beginning to understand the basics of using data to drive instruction. As I move forward in my leadership, I will utilize this because I see the value in this information. If you look at the data above. The red is one third grade class and the blue is the other. The spirit of the conversations that I see happening as a result of this information after looking at the class averages for the specific strands, is to analyze instructional strategies. If a teacher had a higher level of success on a particular benchmark, what did they do to achieve that level of success. Opening the dialogue to identify best instructional practices would be my vision for how to utilize this data.
